Thirsk Athletic Sports & Social Club have completed the renovation of the lounge and event space with the help of a Mondegreen EB grant award of £34,826 (through funds generated by FD Todd & Sons) and a Big Lottery Fund award of £10,000. The members of the eight affiliated clubs now have a clubhouse to be proud of.

Our grateful thanks also go to project manager Malcolm Hartley and his team of helpers.

2018 Fundraising Events

Please make a note of the following ways you can support your club and help us out where you can.

All money raised goes straight back into the club.

Tombola Stall    Saturday 5th May Thirsk Market

. . . as the Tour de Yorkshire comes through Thirsk.

We are looking for a wide range of prizes; anything from toiletries, toys, books, sweet treats, gift vouchers etc etc. The only thing we cannot accept is alcohol because we do not have the right kind of licence.

Any donations can be delivered to Sam at 2 Green Lane West YO7 1RN (tel: 07979 157243): from now please, so that we can get things labelled up! Alternatively, bring along to training nights. We are hoping that this will be a busy day in Thirsk, so are looking for as many prizes as possible please.

We would also be pleased to hear from volunteers willing to help for a few hours each on the day as well. Another great opportunity to boost funds for the club and raise our profile in the community. Come along!

Match Ball Sponsorship

The season kicks off for all 3 of our Senior teams on Saturday 28th April and every match has a ball sponsor.

For £30 per match per ball, your name or company name will feature on the board at TAC and will be broadcast on our social media pages too. If you are interested, please contact Toby Cockcroft at

Thirsk CC Emergency General Meeting, Monday 9th April 2018

Dear Members,

There will be an EGM in the clubhouse on 9th April 2018, 7.15pm. The meeting is open for all members to attend.

Our constitution needs changing, to add a new number 13:

13. Data protection

Thirsk Cricket Club has adopted a General Data Protection Regulation to ensure that members personal data is stored and used appropriately. Membership forms completed annually prior to the start of the season will reference this policy so that all members and parents of junior members are aware of the procedures that we follow. The GDPR will be reviewed at least annually at the AGM, and updated as necessary prior to the start of a new season.

The reason for the addition to the constitution is owing to EU/2016/679, becoming law on 25th May 2018.

Press Release, 14th March 2018

Thirsk Cricket Club would like to extend their heartfelt sympathies to all of the families affected by last week's tragic events. In particular to the family of George Turner, known affectionately across the club as GT.

George rose through the junior ranks with TCC. He will be remembered for being part of the 'Invincible' U15 squad and latterly scorer for the 1st XI

At this time our thoughts and prayers are with Eric, Sarah, Max and Phoebe. The club will work to support them through the coming weeks and months.

Goodnight George and God bless.
